The LUKAS abrasive caps and sleeves have been developed – among other things – for fine and high-precision machining (especially for areas difficult to access) as well as for special applications in tool, mould and die making. Owing to the various shapes of abrasive caps (cylindrical, cylindrical round nose, cylindrical pointed nose, conical round nose) and abrasive sleeves (conical) they do the best job in various applications. For the machining of rust and heat resistant steels, for instance, in tool making, mould and die production as offer a high-performance abrasive cap with special grain (regular aluminium oxide with top-size). For the optimum application of the LUKAS abrasive caps and sleeves we offer the corresponding mandrels with shank diameter 1/8”, 2.35 mm, 3 mm or 6 mm. For a quick tool change and a safe holding of the abrasive caps during grinding the mandrels have been slotted.
