Smoothing, rust removal, cleaning, deburring, surface grinding, decorative grinding, faceting, LUKAS mounted flap wheels made from abrasive cloth are designed for a wide range of applications. Due to a variety of grit sizes (between 40 and 320) and grit materials (regular aluminium oxide, regular aluminium oxide with top size coating and silicon carbide) LUKAS mounted flap wheels can be perfectly matched with a range of specific applications. In most cases our mounted flap wheels are used along with hand-operated machines such as straight grinders, flexible shafts etc. Maximum flexibility to follow the contours of the workpiece is ensured by our SFB flap wheel with slotted flaps.

LUKAS Flap wheels from Abrasive Fleece

The non-woven flaps or round non-woven sections of the LUKAS mounted flap wheels or flap wheels from abrasive fleece are made of regular aluminium oxide or silicon carbide. Thus our mounted flap wheels can be used to machine a great variety of materials – from steel via titanium to ceramic and carbide. Many different designs allow for a further specialisation in the application. Thus, in addition to mounted flap wheels you may choose from mounted fleece discs and mounted flap wheels from abrasive fleece combined with abrasive cloth. The grit sizes available are regular aluminium oxide and silicon carbide in grit 100, 180 and 280. This great variety of products opens up a wide range of finishing processes: cleaning, descaling, patterning, roughening, matting, conditioning, polishing, finishing and fine finishing.
